The Nine Fruits of the Spirit, and the Seven Deadly Sins
The seven deadly sins is a concept used as the basis for innumerable works of literature, games, and franchises. While they are considered of biblical origin, they are not actually listed and named such. In truth, they are a popularization and categorization of the varied sins discussed through the bible's entirety. Numerous verses can be found explaining and warning for each, but not all at once in a centralized passage.
What is listed and named though are two sets of virtues: The Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Despite these being specifically denoted in the bible, they have not sparked anywhere near the level of notoriety in culture as "the sinful seven" have. This observation is the corner stone of the project.
The seven deadly sins have been depicted countless times, so I took it upon myself to use my skills in semiotics and Illustrate the nature of each of the nine virtues as a personified being. I guide my design from symbols and meanings in Christian art through history, biblical description/imagery surrounding each, as well as modern perceptions tied to morality and objects.
Their names are Latin to hark back to what the bible was transcribed in for so many centuries.
The world of the Magnet Men
The world of the magnet men is a Sci-Fi concept I have been developing independently for some time. It's core concept comes from ants, more specifically their tendency to use their own bodies to create bridges for the good of the colony. This is that idea scaled up to a planetary level. The magnet men interlock and form the very ground itself, the spires, and caverns, all as the administrative Cores decree it.
There is the interloper as well, currently only referred to at "TL". They are a robot from earth seeking to survive and understand this strange world it's found itself in.
Matching game UI
A work in progress matching game. I shall have more here upon it's eventual completion, but for now I shall just show the UI mockup (right) and a screenshot of the beta version (left)
